Bangkarie Decking
Bangkarie decking comes from the selangan batu family
known as the botanical name shorea laevis. Bangkarie is high in its durability and density, its more uniform
in colour and density than selangan batu, which can be a mix of five different species.
Another main advantage for using bangkarie decking is the absence of tannin, which has made Merbau and some other hardwoods unsuitable for some installations.
Bangkarie Decking Colour
New bangakarie decking appears brownish yellow, and will quickly age to chocolate brown,
as can be seen in the pictures below. This colour change process takes approximately 3 to 6 months depending on weather conditions.
